DescriptionThe Fortis Marinemaster M-40, reference F8120009, is meticulously constructed from recycled stainless steel, resulting in a case diameter of 40 millimeters and a lug-to-lug measurement of 43 millimeters. The overall case height is specified at 12 millimeters, creating a robust yet wearable profile. The watch head itself, absent the strap, weighs in at 76 grams. A unidirectional Gear Bezel® surrounds the sapphire crystal, which features an anti-reflective coating applied to both its inner and outer surfaces. This crystal protects a white dial displaying the Fortis O-pattern. Markers on the dial and the metallic hour and minute hands utilize Superluminova®X1, providing a distinctive blue luminescence in low-light environments. The sweep second hand similarly features Superluminova®X1, incorporated within a "Bull's Eye" design element.

Securing the movement within is a screw-down crown, enhanced by a triple gasket system, and the case back is made from stainless steel featuring ultra-engraving. Crucial to water resistance, rated at 300 meters (1000 feet, 30 atmospheres), are Performance FKM gaskets integrated throughout the watch's construction. Internally, the watch utilizes the automatic Performance Calibre UW-30, offering a date complication in addition to standard timekeeping functions. This chronometer-regulated movement amasses a power reserve of 38 hours. The included Horizon Strap, fashioned from hypoallergenic FKM rubber, is engineered to withstand heat, chemicals, and UV radiation.
