DescriptionThe Fortis Marinemaster M-40, reference F8120005, showcases a robust construction centered around a 40mm case, meticulously crafted from recycled stainless steel. This case incorporates a screw-down crown, featuring a triple gasket system, ensuring an exceptional water resistance rating of 300 meters (1000 feet, 30 atmospheres). Performance FKM gaskets further enhance the watch's resilience against environmental factors. The lug-to-lug measurement is precisely 43mm, contributing to a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist, while the overall case height stands at 12mm. The weight of the watch head alone is 76 grams. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both sides to maximize legibility under various lighting conditions. A unidirectional Gear Bezel®, constructed from the same recycled stainless steel, provides a precise mechanism for tracking elapsed time. The case back is made out of solid stainless steel, completed with ultra-engraving.

Powering the Marinemaster M-40 is the UW-30, an automatic Performance Calibre. This movement provides a date complication, positioned discreetly within the dial layout. The power reserve of this calibre is 38 hours, allowing for reliable operation even when not worn daily. The movement is regulated to chronometer standards, providing to its timekeeping precision. The Rockstone Gray dial presents a textured Fortis O-pattern, with applied indices coated with Superluminova®X1, ensuring exceptional visibility in low-light environments. The hour and minute hands are crafted from a metallic material and are, filled with Superluminova®X1. The sweep second hand, also metallic, features a Superluminova®X1 "Bull's Eye" element. The timepiece is paired with a Horizon Strap, crafted from hypoallergenic FKM rubber. The properties of this material offer resistance to heat, chemicals, and UV radiation. A stainless steel pin buckle secures the strap, while a screw pin system integrates it with the case.
