DescriptionThe Fortis Marinemaster M-40, reference F8120029, is constructed around a 40mm case diameter, fabricated from recycled stainless steel. Its overall height measures 12mm, with a lug-to-lug dimension of 43mm. The watch head itself weighs 76 grams. Water resistance is rated to 300 meters (1000 feet, 30 atm), ensured by a screw-down crown incorporating a triple gasket system, and further augmented by performance FKM gaskets throughout the case assembly. A unidirectional Gear Bezel®, also crafted from recycled stainless steel, surrounds the dial. The case back is manufactured from stainless steel and features ultra-engraving. Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both the interior and exterior surfaces to enhance legibility under diverse lighting conditions.

The dial features a blue backdrop, embellished with Fortis's signature "O" pattern, provides the setting for applied hour markers. Both the hour and minute hands, of metallic construction, are coated with Superluminova®X1, a luminous compound selected for its blue emission. The centrally-mounted sweep seconds hand similarly benefits from Superluminova®X1, presented in a "bull's eye" format. Powering the watch is the automatic UW-30 Performance Calibre. This movement provides a date complication, displayed at the 3 o'clock position on the dial, and maintains a power reserve of 38 hours. It meets the Chronometer specification. The watch is provided on a "Block Bracelet," constructed of recycled stainless steel. It incorporates a stainless steel slide clasp that permits for micro-adjustments to be made. The bracelet links are secured together through a robust screw pin system.
