DescriptionThe Fortis Flieger F-43 Bicompax, reference F4240013, is constructed around a 43mm diameter case crafted from recycled stainless steel. The case design incorporates a screw-down crown featuring a triple gasket system, contributing to the watch's substantial water resistance rating of 200 meters (600 feet, 20 atmospheres). Performance FKM gaskets further enhance the watch's sealing capabilities. Lug-to-lug measurement is 54mm and the case has a height of 15.5mm, contributing to a notable presence on the wrist. The watch head weighs 118 grams. A sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, protects the dial and ensures optimal legibility under varied lighting conditions. The case back is constructed from stainless steel and features ultra-engraving.

The dial presents a vertically brushed Liberty Blue finish and is characterized by an applied, circularly brushed "Brixtrack®". This track, along with white "Brix" and "Synchroline®" elements, is made of Superluminova®X1, which produces a green glow, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions. The hour, minute, and sweep-second hands are crafted from metal and feature Superluminova®X1 inserts, while the counter hands are metallic. Powering the watch is the automatic performance Calibre UW-51, a chronometer-regulated movement. This calibre provides a chronograph function, along with a date complication, and boasts a power reserve of 48 hours. The watch is presented on an aviator strap constructed from cowhide leather that has undergone vegetable tanning. The strap is double-folded and handmade in Germany from sustainable production, with no unnecessary filling material. It fastens with a stainless steel pin buckle and utilizes a screw pin system for attachment.
