DescriptionThe Fortis Flieger F-43 Bicompax, reference F4240007, is constructed around a 43mm case diameter, fabricated entirely from recycled stainless steel. This case incorporates a screw-down crown, integrated with a triple gasket system to ensure optimal water tightness. The watch head's weight is documented at 118 grams, while the overall lug-to-lug measurement extends to 54mm. Case height measures at a substantial 15.5mm. High-performance FKM gaskets are integrated to further improve sealing capabilities. The case back itself is specified as stainless steel, and features detailed "Ultra-Engraving". Protection for the dial is granted by a sapphire crystal, treated on both its inner and outer surfaces with an anti-reflective coating, maximizing legibility under various lighting conditions.

Powering the F-43 is the Automatic Performance Calibre UW-51, a self-winding movement offering a power reserve of 48 hours. This chronometer-regulated caliber provides both chronograph functionality and a date complication. The dial, finished in a vertically brushed black, includes the applied, circular brushed Brixtrack®. Key dial elements like the white Brix and Synchroline® are produced using Superluminova®X1, a luminous material that exhibits a green glow in low-light environments. The hour and minute hands are constructed from metal and feature Superluminova®X1 inserts. This luminous compound is extended to the sweep-second hand. Similarly, the sub-dial/counter hands use a metallic construction. Securing the watch is an Aviator strap, fashioned from cowhide leather, via a screw-pin fastening structure. The strap construction features a double-folded design, free from unnecessary filling. It's noted that the leather is vegetable-tanned, sourced from sustainable production and handcrafted in Germany. A standard pin buckle in stainless steel secures the strap. The listed water resistance equals a rated 200 meters, 600 feet, or 20 atmospheres.
