DescriptionThe Fortis Flieger F-41 Petrol, designated by reference F4220022, represents a meticulous execution of pilot watch design. Its case, constructed from recycled stainless steel, measures 41mm in diameter, with an overall height of 12.5mm and a lug-to-lug measurement extending to 52mm. The watch head, independent of the strap, weighs 86 grams. Achieving a water resistance rating of 200 meters (600 feet, 20 atmospheres), it showcases structural integrity suitable for professional use. Sealing is achieved through a screw-down crown, incorporating a triple gasket system, and further reinforced by performance FKM gaskets throughout the case assembly. A bidirectional rotating bezel, marked with 12-hour indices in half-hour increments, provides functionality for tracking a second time zone. The case back is constructed from stainless steel, and features ultra-engraving.

Protecting the dial is a sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both inner and outer surfaces to minimize glare and maximize legibility under various lighting conditions. The dial itself features a vertically brushed petrol finish, offering a unique, refined aesthetic. The "Brixtrack®", a distinctive design element of this model, is created using a circular brushing technique and along with Synchroline are constructed using Superluminova®X1, a luminescent material that emits a green glow. The hour and minute hands are metallic, filled with Superluminova®X1, ensuring optimal visibility. Similarly, the sweep second hand includes Superluminova®X1. Powering the F-41 is the automatic performance calibre UW-30. This movement provides the standard timekeeping functions of hours, minutes, and seconds, along with a date complication. The power reserve, representing the duration the watch will operate when fully wound and left stationary, is rated at 38 hours and has chronometer level regulation.
