Quick TakeSlipping on the SUB 200T Caribbean feels less like strapping on a tool and more like greeting an old friend who's just returned from an adventure, looking sharp and ready for more. That cool Caribbean blue dial isn't just for show; it captures the essence of sun-drenched waters, while the compact 39mm case makes it incredibly versatile, ditching the bulk but not the capability. It’s got that classic DOXA toughness, ready for a 200-meter plunge thanks to the screw-down crown and solid case back, but it wears so comfortably with its slim 10.70mm profile you might forget it's a serious dive watch. The famous no-deco bezel is right there, a functional nod to its deep-diving heritage, while the sapphire crystal keeps things crisp and clear. Whether paired with the awesome 'Beads of Rice' bracelet that just flows around the wrist or the practical rubber strap, it balances its purpose-built roots with a refined, almost understated confidence perfect for any setting.
DescriptionThe SUB 200T Caribbean model utilizes a case constructed from 316L stainless steel, engineered for durability and resistance to corrosion. Dimensional specifications are recorded as 39.00 mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug measurement of 41.50 mm and a case height of 10.70 mm, facilitating enhanced wearability compared to larger predecessors. Water ingress protection is rated at 20 ATM, equivalent to 200 meters or 656 feet, secured by a screw-down crown mechanism and a solid stainless steel screw-down case back. Time indication visibility is preserved through a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal treated with an anti-reflective coating. A critical diving safety feature, the unidirectional rotating bezel, is integrated, featuring the patented US Navy no-decompression limit table calibrated in feet. This component allows for the safe monitoring of dive times by preventing accidental counter-clockwise rotation.
Powering the timekeeping functions is a Swiss-origin mechanical movement configured for automatic self-winding. Operational endurance extends to a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. The regulating organ oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz), contributing to the smooth sweep of the seconds hand. This movement, decorated by DOXA, drives the central hour, minute, and second hands, alongside a date indication located within an aperture at the 3 o'clock position. The Caribbean model presents a dial surface with either an iconic matte finish or a sunray pattern exhibiting a luminous sunburst effect. Legibility in low ambient light conditions is ensured through the application of Super-LumiNova® material on critical dial elements and hands. Attachment to the wrist is achieved via either a stainless steel "Beads of Rice" bracelet or an FKM rubber strap, both equipped with a folding clasp incorporating a ratcheting wetsuit extension mechanism. The interface point for the strap or bracelet is standardized at a lug width of 18.00 mm.
