The watch is housed in a 40.5mm diameter, 13.3mm thick, stainless steel case with a brushed and polished finish. The caseback is made of sapphire crystal, offering a view of the movement inside. The watch is water-resistant to 30 meters, meaning it can withstand light rain and splashes of water but is not suitable for swimming or diving.

The dial of the C1 Moonphase is made of aventurine, a type of glass infused with copper oxide flakes that give it a shimmering, starry night sky appearance. The dial is free of any indices or markers, except for a moonphase aperture at the 6 o'clock position. The moonphase complication is powered by Christopher Ward's in-house Calibre JJ04 movement, which is based on the Sellita SW220 movement. The Calibre JJ04 has a power reserve of 38 hours and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The moonphase complication on the C1 Moonphase is one of its most notable features. It features two three-dimensional moons made from Globolight, a material that is a combination of ceramic and Super-LumiNova.
