DescriptionEncased in Lucent Steel™, the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono Steel 298609-3001 epitomizes a harmonious blend of sophistication and ruggedness. The watch measures 44mm in diameter with a thickness of 13.15mm, striking a balance between wrist presence and wearability. Beneath a sapphire crystal, the Aletsch blue dial, achieved through a galvanic treatment, draws inspiration from the iris of an eagle. Rhodium-plated Roman numerals and indexes, coated with Super-LumiNova, ensure legibility in low-light conditions. A screw-down crown aids in achieving a water resistance of 100 meters.
Driving the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono is the Chopard 03.05-C, an automatic chronograph movement with flyback functionality. This COSC-certified chronometer oscillates at 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and boasts a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The movement, comprising 310 parts and 45 jewels, features a flat balance spring, a balance wheel with three spokes, and intricate decorations such as Côtes de Genève on the bridges and circular graining on the mainplate. Visible through a sapphire crystal case-back, the movement's dimensions measure Ø 28.80mm in diameter and 7.60mm in thickness. Completing the watch is a blue rubber strap with a stainless steel pin buckle.
