It features a robust 46mm diameter stainless steel case, measuring 14.99mm thick, contributing to a total watch head weight of 86.646 grams. The case design incorporates a unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel with a black ceramic insert, a screw-locked crown with two gaskets for enhanced water resistance, and a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The watch achieves a water resistance rating of 200 meters (660 feet).

Powering the Superocean Heritage is the Breitling B20 Manufacture caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement with a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. This movement boasts a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, ensuring reliable timekeeping even after a period of inactivity.
