The watch features a 42 mm diameter case crafted from stainless steel, accented by an 18k red gold unidirectional ratcheted bezel. This bezel, a critical tool for divers, allows for the safe timing of dives and other underwater activities. The watch's black dial provides a stark contrast to the rose gold and steel, enhancing legibility and offering a sophisticated aesthetic. Protecting the dial is a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, ensuring clarity and minimizing glare in various lighting conditions.

Powering the Superocean Heritage is the Breitling B20 Manufacture caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement with a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. This translates to a smooth sweep of the seconds hand and enhanced accuracy. The movement boasts an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours, meaning the watch can be set aside for days and still keep accurate time upon return. The B20 caliber also features a date display discreetly positioned within a dial aperture. With 26 jewels, the movement is built for longevity and smooth operation.
