Constructed from stainless steel, the case measures 42 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 12.56 mm, with a lug-to-lug height of 47.76 mm. The watch weighs 133 g with the strap, and the head alone weighs 81.7 g. Its unidirectional ratcheted bezel, a crucial feature for divers, allows for safe timing of dives. The screw-locked crown, fitted with two gaskets, ensures water resistance to a depth of 300 m (1,000 ft). A cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides, protects the dial. The watch is powered by the Breitling 17, a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. This movement, vibrating at 28,800 v.p.h, contains 26 jewels.
