DescriptionThe AVI Ref. 765 1953 Re-Edition is a faithful recreation of the Breitling Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI, a renowned pilot's watch from the 1950s. This timepiece boasts a 41mm stainless steel case, measuring 14.05 mm in thickness and weighing 73.3 grams without the strap. A bidirectional rotating bezel, secured by three screws in the historically accurate configuration, frames the all-black dial. Legibility is paramount with large Arabic numerals and tone-on-tone subdials for the small seconds, 15-minute, and 12-hour chronograph functions. The hands and numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova, meticulously color-matched to evoke the original luminescent material. Protecting the dial is a highly-domed Hesalite crystal, a period-correct detail that adds to the watch's vintage charm.

Powering the AVI Ref. 765 1953 Re-Edition is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, a hand-wound movement based on the renowned Breitling Caliber 01. This COSC-certified chronometer caliber, specifically developed for historical re-editions, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and features 34 jewels. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch is water-resistant to 3 bar (30 meters) and is fitted with a black vintage-inspired calfskin leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle. As a limited edition of 1953 pieces, each watch is engraved with "ONE OF 1953" on the case back.
