DescriptionThe AVI 1953 Edition Red Gold (RB0920131B1X1) is a luxury reimagining of the Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI, a renowned pilot's watch from 1953. This timepiece boasts a 41mm case crafted from 18k red gold, complemented by a vintage-inspired brown calfskin leather strap secured with an 18k red gold pin buckle. The watch features a non-screw-locked crown with one gasket, providing water resistance up to 3 bar (30 meters). Beneath the highly domed Plexiglas crystal lies an all-black dial, reminiscent of the original Co-Pilot, with Arabic numerals and tone-on-tone subdials for small seconds, 15-minute, and 12-hour chronograph functions. The hands and numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova, meticulously color-matched to evoke the luminescent material of the original 1953 model.

Driving the AVI 1953 Edition is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, a hand-wound mechanical movement based on the renowned Breitling Caliber 01. This COSC-certified chronometer caliber operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and boasts an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The movement comprises 34 jewels and features a chronograph mechanism capable of measuring time intervals down to 1/4th of a second. The caseback is screwed in, ensuring the protection of the intricate movement within. With a total weight of 112.42 grams, the watch head itself accounts for 97.7 grams. The case measures 14.05 mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug height of 48.71 mm. The lugs have a width of 22.00 mm, corresponding to the strap size. Limited to 253 pieces, each timepiece is individually engraved with "ONE OF 253" on the caseback.
