This timepiece boasts a unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel, providing precise tracking of elapsed time, and a screw-locked crown with two gaskets, ensuring water resistance to a depth of 200 meters (660 feet). The watch face is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, offering exceptional clarity and durability.

Powering the Super Chronomat B01 44 is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. This COSC-certified chronometer operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and incorporates 47 jewels for smooth and accurate timekeeping.
