It boasts a screw-in caseback and a non-screw-locked crown with two gaskets, contributing to its impressive 100-meter water resistance. The watch's unidirectional ratcheted bezel, crafted from stainless steel, provides both functionality and style. A cambered sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, protects the blue dial.

Powering the Chronomat Automatic 36 is the Breitling 10 caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement with a 42-hour power reserve.
