DescriptionThe A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Rattrapante Honeygold “Homage to F. A. Lange” (Ref. 425.050) is the manufacture’s inaugural chronograph dedicated solely to the split-seconds function. This timepiece pays tribute to traditional design and engineering principles, presented in a 41.2mm diameter, 12.6mm thick 18-carat Honeygold case. Its solid silver black dial provides a stark contrast to the Honeygold hands and indices, offering legibility and aesthetic appeal. The watch is powered by the manually wound L101.2 movement, composed of 365 individual parts and beating at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. This caliber ensures a power reserve of 58 hours when fully wound.

The split-seconds chronograph mechanism, the defining feature of this model, is operated via two column wheels and allows for precise timing of intermediate intervals. The chronograph hands are controlled by classic column wheels, with the rattrapante function engaged by a pusher at 10 o’clock. Turning the watch over, the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the meticulously finished movement, showcasing Lange’s dedication to horological craftsmanship. The watch is secured to the wrist with a hand-stitched brown alligator leather strap, fitted with an 18-carat Honeygold buckle.
